Bugbugs, London by rickshaw is better than bicycle
Their advertising abilities. If you look at their pedicabs, they offer a considerable amount of space for you to place an ad, allowing you to get designs that just wouldn’t work on many other platforms. That type of guerilla marketing is very in at the moment, and has proven to be very effective in a variety of case studies. Of course, if you’re looking to rent a ride in a pedicab, we’re sure you couldn’t care less about that. For you, it’s their history that will prove to be of interest. They’re one of the oldest pedicab companies in the entirety of the capital, which means that they have a lot of experience in the industry. They only hire reliable riders and have earned themselves an excellent reputable in over a decade of service.
Entertainment and Coverage
Not too bad in theory. They’ll turn up pretty much anywhere you want, if you’re paying for their services. In terms of one off rides though, they’re not common, servicing only a few areas in central. The general idea seems to have shifted from a public service to more of a private hire venture: something you can use to generate publicity and provide transport for shops launches and the like. If you’re looking to get from zone 3 to your house in zone 5 for example, don’t expect to be able to ring them as an ethical alternative to using a cab.
It’s strictly phone and email based: oldschool in terms of the modern industry. Once you ring, the staff are friendly enough, and always seem keen to help. We did find their site to be a little lacking in detail, but a phonecall filled us in on all the specifics of marketing via rickshaws, which were certainly grateful for.
It really does depend on what you want as an advertiser. You’ll be getting your name out there, which is crucial. You’ll be doing on vehicles that will catch the eye too, as they weave through the busy streets of London. It’s all just a bit bulky though: we get that having increased advertising space suits some niche customers but in general having a sleek shape and 10% less space is so much better. The price however, does seem to reflect that: it’s remarkably cheap for what you’re getting. We hesitate to call BugBugs the budget choice, but it does feel like it’s one of the best bang for your buck rickshaw rental services in the city.
The staff there are polite and helpful. They’ll always work hard to ensure that your needs are met, and that your ideas are considered when it comes to the end product. Don’t like how an ad looks now it’s printed on the test vehicle? They’ll change it. Want to change routes from day to day? They’ll do it, despite the hassle that it must cause for them and their riders. In generals, they go that extra mile to make your happy as a client. From a customer point of view, their riders are friendly and welcoming, the perfect lure for this unconventional transport.
It’s rather hard to review BugBugs. From whose perspective do you do so? From that of the consumer, they are underwhelming. You don’t see that many of their rickshaws, they’re limited in number and there’s little reason to choose them over others in the city. From an advertiser’s point of view though, they offer a uniquely sized vehicles that both distinctive and optimised for showing promotional material. If you’re one of the latter, then we can recommend BugBugs, though you might also want to look into our other reviews to see if another rickshaw company would better suit your brand.
